[music |Gone - Kelly Clarkson]

It's that time of the month again, about 6 weeks too late might I add. So I've been breaking out, annoying, annoyed, stressed, lazy, a gourmand and procrastinating! And this is the last week of the first term so I've got 2 essays due, packing to do later etc
So I put on a face mask, slipper socks and had a cup of tea. :D I will defy nature and look fabulous so ha!

P.S. I hate though, when I just need to run to SOAS to return some library books, literally with no makeup on, wet hair, uncoordinated clothes, totally lost in my music...I see somebody I know and regret not having an interest in my appearance! How do people do it? Doesn't it take loads of time to look fabulous? I need a magic wand.

So I'm updating again! Sorry I have spurts. Um, it's been busy-ish. We handed over the Presidency of Law Soc last month, and boy, does that feel good. I mean, don't get me wrong. I love it, really I do, but FROM A DISTANCE. Preferably behind a wall too. lol The new Presidents looked like they're on the ball - we went to their first social, lots of people, some drinks, good stuff! Also met Kish and Shyam which was good!

Have loads of courseworks to do, but strangely don't feel stressed yet. Maybe I should be!
Thanks very much to Suzie for putting up with my whingeing! I love talking to her, I never feel like I'm on trial with her :D And boys suck. (Not all of them!) Just hafta put that in there. Randomly.

Our flat is bloody freezing though. The maintenance guy keeps not-showing-up and as a result our flat is as cold as it is outside! Brr. I keep having to walk about to create feeling in my legs and drink lots of hot drinks which in turn makes me wired so I can't concentrate! Nice.

Quirine came to visit last week which was fabulous! She hasn't changed, we haven't changed, life is good! I do miss AIS-R peeps. We ate loads, shopped loads, laughed incessantly, played the Sims, compared Holland and England numerous times, saw the Lord Mayor's Celebration Fireworks on the Millennium Bridge, went to the Tate, did makeovers, went to Starbucks often to fulfil her cravings and loved London! AAH, can't wait 'til she comes again, and when Livy comes to visit us in springtime.

I like hot boys. But they ignore me. *sniff* Again Suzie will know about this and I thank and pity her for having to deal with my annoying self. I feel like I have regressed to my boycrazy, self-absorbed 15yr old self! In other words, welcome again to 10th grade.

lots of love, tarii

P.S. It is fun though.
P.P.S. Have been going out a lot more though, breakfast with Phelecia at Paul's, saw Harry Potter with Elina (yummy Viktor Krum), houseparty with Elina's friends (fun fun), wandering around Covent Garden, TGIF and chilling at Momo's, seeing the Xmas lights being put on at Regent Street, shopping on Oxford Street, wandering down Kensington High Street, etc!

I think it's about time I acted girly. Cue candy pink nail polish. And about time I paid more attention to my appearance (though I have no one to dress up for), it's time I did it for myself!

[music |Gasolina by Daddy Yankee]

I hate this time of year. Due to the climate change from really hot in Delhi and really mild here in London, I'm sick with the flu (headaches, body-aches, congestion, tiredness, you name it). I haven't been ill like this for over a year so it's very strange to be so debilitated when usually I'm so get up and go.
Flathunting is pretty distressing. Hopefully we'll get there though! We increased our budget and have been calling around relentlessly so let's see. I want somewhere nice!

I had an interview for a training contract at Allen & Overy last Wednesday and they said they'll call by Friday but nothing yet which is suspenseful! Because I really like them. And because if I don't get it, I'll have work towards my Clifford Chance interview next week, who maybe be the number one law firm worldwide but they just aren't A&O. Y'know? This is my career and I want to get it right.

It's just all the waiting that's getting me so cranky. Waiting for this flu to pass, waiting for A&O to call/email, waiting to see the right flat and have our deposit accepted so I can move into my very first flat, waiting for my last year at university to start, waiting for my life to start, really.

A flat, a job offer - that's when it becomes your life doesn't it? When you don't depend on your parents for anything at all and you're capable of anything because you've done "anything" and it hasn't crashed and burned.

Meanwhile I have many tasks ahead of me besides the above - Jurisprudence essay (bloody UCL and their bloody let's-give-the-students-work-to-do-during-the-precious-summer-holidays!), help set up pro bono society, get ready for Fresher's Week.

I've had a good summer though. Characterised quite largely by Pimms (I drank a glass of Pimm's and lemonade quite religiously almost every day), I've been spring cleaning, helping my mother with her boxes and accompanying her to boring dinner parties, being taken out to nice restaurants, shopping (!!!), visiting the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sihkri for the 358976th time (still gorgeous though), meeting people, spotting Sonia Gandhi plus family and the great Indian artist MF Hussain, getting my work suit made, and eating rather large amounts of fabulous Indian food (it is the best food in the world after all - no bias lol).

And love albums by Rihanna, Frankie J and John Legend. Yes. (Joss, of course. But then you always knew that. Also, miss Luther Vandross lots :()

Little update. Rented POTC!! Love that film, Johnny stole the show! Hilarious man. And I'm sorry but as cheesy as he is, Orlando Bloom is f'cking hot. He is. I'm sorry. :D So yeah. Tuesday saw the arrival of my incessant cursing to the high heavens of being made to be a girl. Thursday went out with Hannah, Nyasha (aw love them), Kaysha, sis and later Ankana and manfriend Jeremy for pizza, foosball, pool, drinks and SOAS reggae! Ah, very cool experience! Reggae is a beautiful language. Just can't dance to it. Woke up too late today and did nothing really (ooh dloaded clips of AI3, god these ppl can sing) and hope to do...NOTHING TOMORROW. Tuesday, hope to go to Afro-Caribbean launch party! Whoo whoo. Cuz y'know that's my type :D heheh I'm becoming boycrazy because of lack of fitness in law (unless ya like pansy assed "boys")...ooh on Friday we're going to Top of the Pops with Sarada and her buddy Rebecca to see Keane! I used to watch TOTP all the time when I was a kid so majorly excited.
My daddy was off to Paris this week for a conference so hopefully going to go on a picnic with him next weekend, it's either that or seeing Pieces of April with my gran and aunt! Happy days. Am in family and friends mood, and boymood. Must be hormones.
(sorry for boring teeny post but felt it was needed!)
Work is piling up as usual which adds to the blahness and I just don't get ppl yknow! They can be rude, mean, hurtful and then be awesome, amazing, beautiful! Maybe the world is constantly PMSing!
